Flora – West Hartford

Flora in West Hartford is a vegan restaurant that caters to non-vegans. How about that for a concept? Their plant based menu has all the familiar vegan offerings including soups, a “no cheese” plate, all sorts of salads, falafel, tempeh, no meat-balls, tofu, a no-meat burger and more. But for those non-vegans in your party, animal proteins can be added to any plate including pork, shrimp, calamari and others. Dessert includes beet rice cream, chocolate pudding made with avocado and more. They also have a juice bar. Keep in mind that the menu rotates, and these options were current when we checked.
