Paid a little visit to Divine Treasures in Manchester today. Located in an unassuming strip mall, this place is truly a gem. Diane, the owner, is both gluten-free and vegan. Her shop is 100% dedicated gluten-free, and all of her chocolates, with the exception of one display case, are 100% vegan. (The non-vegan display case contains chocolates with 5% whey.) She makes all of her chocolates right in the store, and is now making cashew milk, as well as amazing cashew milk products, including an array of cakes, whoopee pies, cookies, truffles, chocolate caramels, the list goes on. She also sells frozen pizzas with crusts baked from-scratch and her own cheese, lasagna, soups, and other prepared foods.  The cashew milk  soft serve ice cream on a gluten-free, vegan chocolate-dipped cone was our choice today, and it will likely be our choice next time, too. And the time after that.  Diane is in the store daily, and is more than willing to fill you in on ingredients and preparation practices. She is also happy to ship chocolates anywhere, so you can spread the love around.  This place is worth a visit, no matter where you reside in Connecticut. Just remember to bring a cooler, as many customers do, and tell them we sent you!
