We’re not big drinkers here at Gluten-Free Connecticut, but when CT-based Bom Bom contacted us about reviewing Nilli Vanilli, we were so intrigued. How could a 100% gluten-free and vegan liqueur look so creamy and taste like cookies? Taking advantage of a recent snow day, we dove right in and started sampling. We decided to make a daiquiri, tossing Nilli Vanilli and ice into the blender. We added some chocolate and sprinkles around the top of the glass, took one sip, and were blown away. This stuff actually tastes creamy and like cookies!
A combination of Caribbean rum and natural cookie flavors, Nilli Vanilli is such an exciting new option for gluten and dairy-free folks, and the possibilities are endless. We checked out the drink recipes on their website, and then thought of a few of our own – like adding peanut butter and vegan chocolate chips to the blender (gasp!). And, at only 100 calories per serving for Nilli Vanilli, we’re ok with that! So whether you’ve been gluten and dairy free for years, or have just made it your New Year’s resolution, you can safely add Nilli Vanilli to your “yes” list. We just did!
